Most of us are looking for a durability and protection factor with our cases.  If you you’re doing a lot of traveling like we do for either target shooting or hunting, you need something durable, customizable  and a good price.  The Pelican 1750 Rifle case has all of these things, but we still like to give you both sides of the coin and let you decide.

The Pelican 1750 Rifle Case

The Pros

Customizable Foam– We’ve seen this case used for everything from a Barrett .50 cal down to a Remington 700.  The foam is pretty easy to customize for any rifle, we recommend however that you cut the foam a bit smaller than the rifle for a more snug fit.

Rugged Water and Dust Proof Case- Most guys think a soft case will suffice and to be honest for some it does.  But, if you’re traveling be it driving or flying to your next shoot, you’ll want this durable hard case.   It definitely keeps the gun and optics in place keeping everything sighted in and the dust and water out!  It will get you out and shooting quicker with out having to readjust much, if at all!

Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve- This one doesn’t affect everyone, but if you fly or you shoot in high altitude you’ll notice the affect the quick changes in altitude can have on both your rifle and optics.  The Pelican 1750 Rifle Case has Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve that compensates for this.  Again, not everybody is affected by this, but it worth mentioning.

Light Weight & Maneuverable– Most rifle cases are bulky and pretty hard to lug around fully loaded with rifle and optics, but The Pelican 1750 Rifle Case is light weight and equipped with a fairly broad based wheel make it easy to pull and maneuver around.

The Cons

There’s not much to say bad about The Pelican 1750 Rifle Case, some folks have an issue with price, but when purchasing a $400-$1500 rifle, you’re going to want something bona-fide and strong keeping it safe.  The only other complaint I’ve seen was the cut outs for the foam, but I have seen quite of few easy to follow “How To’s” on the internet walking you through this easily.
